Orihuela Cyclist Airlifted to Hospital

A 49 year old male was taken to hospital by helicopter on Sunday after falling into a ravine at the Pedrera reservoir as he was cycling through the Orihuela countryside.

The man had suffered multiple injuries in the crash and landed in a position which was difficult to access by ground crews, and so the helicopter was called into assist in taking the man to the Vega Baja hospital.
