Peace for a Million

Over a million passengers have travelled in peace and quiet on Spain´s high speed rail network, since the silent coaches were introduced a year ago.

In total, 1.11 million passengers have now used the service where mobile phones and loud talking are banned, as well as with dimmed lighting and no announcements.

The ticket price is the same as the normal service with the added quietness also meaning that children under 14 and animals are not allowed in the carriages.
