An elderly couple had the shock of their lives last week when their car rolled from the Nautilus Restaurant car park at Rocío del Mar, Torrevieja and straight into the sea. The frightened passengers remained in their Seat Ibiza car until a young man jumped into the water to help them, releasing them through the window. The fire brigade had to be called in later as the vehicle recovery teams were unable to retrieve the car, which apparently rolled into the water due to the handbrake either not being put on or failing to work.
