Torrevieja Wants Businesses to be Pet Friendly

Torrevieja council wants more local businesses to welcome pets as a boost for trade and tourism, with 40 establishments already signed up for the authority’s ‘Pet Friendly’ scheme.

 

Animal welfare councillor Carmen Morate, and business councillor Manuela Osuna say that traders, including those who offer holiday accommodation, can get registered with the council and pick up more information.

 

Pet owners would then able to access participating businesses via the municipal website.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
