The regional Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has notified a total of 2,018 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update last Friday. The new cases by province are 285 in Castellón (193,940 in total), 485 in Alicante (531,784 in total) and 1,248 in Valencia (845,895 in total).
Of these, 1,046 are people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 156 from Castellón, 276 from Alicante and 614 from Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 331 people admitted, a jump from 276 last week, 19 of them in the ICU: 39 in the province of Castellón, 3 in the ICU; 91 in the province of Alicante, 6 of them in the ICU, up from 82 last week, and 201 in the province of Valencia, 10 in the ICU.
17 deaths from coronavirus have been reported since the last update, all with a death date in the last 7 days. They are 5 women between 75 and 95 years old, and 12 men between 53 and 91 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 10,187: 1,213 in the province of Castellón, 3,881 in Alicante and 5,093 in Valencia.
