During a swim pursuit, San Javier police officers arrested an individual who attempted to perpetrate a burglary at a residence and attempted to flee by entering the sea. The individual was ultimately apprehended.
The sequence of events started with the receipt of a communication by police officers, which indicated the presence of an individual within a residence on Friday, April 24th . Upon their arrival at the location, they verified that the suspect was no longer present. An additional notification was received hours later, indicating that the same individual had returned to the residence with the apparent intention of continuing the robbery.
Officers returned to the scene and apprehended the suspect, who fled upon recognising their presence. In order to evade apprehension, the individual entered the sea during the escape. In response to this circumstance, the officers stripped down to their underwear, initiated a swim pursuit and were ultimately successful in intercepting the individual.
The detainee, a male with a plethora of “police” documents, was immediately released.
The individual was apprehended and transported to court. The agents’ prompt response enabled them to prevent the robbery and guarantee the safety of the individuals.
