The Brilla Torrevieja organisers are adjusting the schedule for the K-POP Golden Experience festival to accommodate the solar eclipse visible from Torrevieja this afternoon, Wednesday 12th August. The festival venue will now open its doors earlier, at 7:30 PM, while the show itself will commence later, at 9:00 PM. This change allows attendees the flexibility to arrive early to witness the astronomical phenomenon or join the festivities once it has concluded.
This adjustment stems from the coincidence of a major astronomical event with the festival, which draws inspiration from the world of K-pop warriors. The event is set to feature a blend of music, dance, performance, and a striking audiovisual production within Antonio Soria Park.
According to data provided by the National Geographic Institute, the partial eclipse will begin to be visible from Torrevieja at 7:40 PM. It is expected to reach its peak in the town at 8:35 PM and will conclude near sunset, which is anticipated at 8:59 PM.

Brilla Torrevieja has issued a reminder to all attendees that any eclipse viewing must be undertaken with strict adherence to safety recommendations to prevent eye damage. The organisers emphasised that looking directly at the sun without appropriate protection is dangerous. Spectators are advised to use specific eclipse glasses that comply with safety regulations, carrying the ISO 12312-2:2015 certification and the CE marking.
By adapting the programme, Brilla Torrevieja aims to integrate this exceptional astronomical event into the day, allowing visitors to choose how they wish to experience one of the most unique afternoons of the summer at Antonio Soria Park.
