Local Police officers in Torrevieja are continuing to step up preventive checkpoints across various locations in the municipality, aiming to improve road safety and encourage more responsible mobility among road users.
One of the latest operations took place at the junction of Calle Maestro Quino and Calle Pinoso. During the operation, officers inspected a total of 20 vehicles, which included a personal mobility vehicle.
The check enabled officers to detect several infractions concerning documentation, mandatory insurance and vehicle conditions. In total, three reports were issued: one for an unregistered personal mobility vehicle, another for lacking mandatory insurance, and a third relating to mandatory vehicle inspection standards. The operation concluded with two vehicles being removed and impounded, specifically a car and a personal mobility vehicle.
Torrevieja Local Police Department confirmed that these preventive checkpoints will continue across different areas of the municipality to detect potential non-compliance and contribute to safer traffic flow. The initiative aims to prevent risky situations, improve adherence to regulations and ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians and all other public road users.
Torrevieja Town Hall reminded residents that achieving safer mobility is a shared responsibility, appealing for public cooperation and adherence to traffic regulations.
