Registration is now open for a new edition of Spanish language courses aimed at international residents registered on the municipal padrón in Torrevieja. Interested individuals can submit their applications until Tuesday, 15th September, with classes scheduled to begin in October.
The training will be delivered by the Be Magic academy and will feature content adapted to beginner and intermediate levels. The primary aim is to improve the oral and written language skills of participants, helping them communicate effectively in everyday life and professional settings.
Gitte Lund, the councillor for International Residents, highlighted that knowing the language is a essential tool for navigating daily life independently, accessing services, interacting with others, and taking part fully in local social life. She added that the courses reflect the reality of an open, diverse, and international town, helping to advance the integration of everyone who has chosen to live in Torrevieja.
To participate, applicants must have a regular administrative status and be registered on the municipal padrón in Torrevieja. Applicants must provide a fully completed registration form, a Torrevieja padrón certificate, and relevant identification depending on their nationality and circumstances. Required identity documents include a passport, TIE (Foreigner Identity Card), EU Citizen Registration Certificate (CUE) for EU nationals, or a photo ID issued by their home country.
Applications can be submitted in person at either the main Town Hall registry office in Plaza de la Constitución or the La Mata registry office in Plaza de Gaspar Perelló. Alternatively, applications can be completed online via the Torrevieja Town Hall electronic office (torrevieja.sedelectronica.es) by searching under procedures for “ES02 – Solicitud de inscripción en Curso de español para residentes internacionales empadronados en Torrevieja”.
The courses do not award an official certificate upon completion, as the focus is purely practical. The syllabus is designed to equip participants with the language skills needed to converse and function more easily day to day, boosting personal independence, social connections, and integration into the Torrevieja community.
