A judge at the Violence Against Women section of the Court of First Instance in Benidorm, Alicante, has ordered the remand in custody, without bail and with restricted communication, for a man arrested and accused of killing his partner in Benidorm. He is currently under investigation for a crime of homicide or murder, pending further qualification as proceedings advance.
The judge also questioned two other individuals arrested in connection with the case. They have been released on provisional liberty while remaining under investigation for an alleged crime of concealment, according to a statement released by the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community.
National Police officers arrested a man in Benidorm on Monday, 28th September, accused of killing his partner, alongside two others detained for allegedly covering up the crime.
The victim’s body was discovered in a rural area situated between Benidorm and the neighbouring municipality of Finestrat. Authorities confirmed that there were no previous records of gender violence between the woman and the suspect.
