Two people are believed to have been killed when a car and a bus collided head on in a notorious black spot of the N-332 single lane road near Torrevieja, opposite the desalination plant.
At around 14:30 on Wednesday, a bus with a driver and tour guide was travelling in the Cartagena direction, when it collided with a passenger car head on, in which were the 40 year old female driver and her two year old daughter.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, whereas the girl was taken to hospital, losing her battle for life some 2 hours later.
The road was closed to traffic and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
