The Councillor for Infrastructure in Orihuela, Victor Ruiz, has announced that the company which manages the drinking water supply in the municipality, Hidraqua, are investing around 100,000 euro in order to replace about 100 old grids which are known to be generating bad smells in different streets of the city.

This investment comes from the renewal fund of a million euro that the company must contribute each year to improve the water infrastructure network.

Specifically, this renewal work will be carried out on the Avenida de la Constitución, calles Hospital, Francisco Díez, San Pascual, Luis Rojas, Antonio Piniés, Alfonso XIII and the Ronda de Santo Domingo.

The replacement of these rainwater collection grids has already begun and is expected to be completed before Easter.
