STATIONS OF THE CROSS IN ROJALES

The traditional Chaplaincy and the Mothers’ Union Branch Service of the Chaplaincy Of St Peter & St Paul was again celebrated this year.

A large crowd gathered at ‘El Calvario’, the crosses at Rojales, and this year the Service was led by the Chaplain Revd Christopher Scargill – assisted by a number of the Chaplaincy’s church centre congregation members.

This year we were happy to note that the group was larger than ever before – over 55 in number.

The celebration was followed by lunch at a local restaurant with 35 sitting down for what was a very enjoyable meal in good company

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
