SABA Hurricane and Harrier Division – The Wasps played their second Match away to La marina and hopes were high of a repeat of their first game last week when they picked up all the points.

Not so this week but they did manage to come away with a creditable win 9-5 winning three rinks, drawing one and taking the shots 95-109. Not too bad a result considering an away venue and played in very strong windy conditions.

Our winners were, Carol Broomfield, Dave Eccles, Brian Fraser 21-9, Dave Davies, Pat and Vic Moore 19-10, Anne and Robert Heath, Dave Livesey 21-8, and our drawn rink Joy Gardiner, Doug Smith and Sue Jordan 19-19.

The Hornets played a strong Horadada Hawks side and what a difference two shots can make! We lost two rinks by one shot each and the overall shots by 2… With two winning rinks, Sheila and Roy Millward, Malcolm Drew 23-12, and Penny Porter, Les Rawson, John Taylor 24-17, the result was 4-10 to Horadada but could so easily could have been a 10-4 victory. Well played Hornets anyway.

Saturday Hamper winners 19th April, Dave Livesey, John Ball and Dave Eccles.

Chicken and Egg Winners 23rd April. Chicken, Gordon Bartley, Wine, Lily Cuthbert, Eggs Rod Land,
