With so much still going on in the political world of Orihuela, from threats to overthrow the government to criticism of the current management team, one influential politician has been active for some time on the coast and will be updating us on Exite Radio on Monday morning.

With a positive result from the courts recently, the next plenary meeting in Orihuela, which is held on Wednesday, may see Mancebo´s powers as a fully recognised opposition councillor, after months of being ignored by the mayor after his controversial and legally discussed expulsion from the political group he claimed to represent.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
