AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL STRIKE CALLED OFF

After subjecting travellers to days of inconvenience, French air traffic controllers have now called of their industrial action.

Most of the flights affected by the strike were those originating and terminating in France, although there were knock-on effect cancellations and delays to other services.

The strike had been called in protest over plans for a single European sky, which the French unions feel would risk jobs in their country.

A number of delays still continue with passengers advised, as always, to check with their airline.
