Summer has come with a vengeance totally different from when we came earlier in the year when the car was warmer than outside, today it was a steady 32 degrees but a breeze helped to keep us cool, shame that some of the Swallows had flown back to cooler climes, as our number were a little depleted.
Alicante Golf at San Juan Playa where the Seve designed course is located, was in super condition particularly the fairways, which had mowing lines just like you see on TV, a credit to the greens staff.
The greens did fool some of the players which kept the scores down except for one player, Ron Chambers, who matched the course complete with a brand new set of clubs, and his wife was still in the UK (No pressure then!).
The scores were relatively low but who can complain with a very good course with lovely blue skies and sunshine. Hey Ho.

The second Semi-Final of the Singles was completed with Les Yates defeating Rocket Ron 3 and 2. He will now go on to play Arfer ( Popular One ) Williams in the Final. Put your ear plugs in Les!!
It was back down the A7/AP7 to Izzy’s Bar for our favourite munchies, and Carolines’s Izzy Chips, all followed by “Rocket” Ron presenting the prizes, it was a little delayed due to the feast of the Izzy chips and sarnies.

Next game is the Tuesday 12th August at Vistabella, First tee 09.15
The last game in August has been brought forward to the 18th at Las Colinas, due to them hollow tinning the course. With an early Tee Time of 08:08.
