MARQ Archaeological museum – Exhibition – “Deltebre I. History of a shipwreck” displaying artefacts rescued from a British navy ship which was sunk in the mouth of the Ebro in 1813 (until January 11, 2015). The weekend sees the Fiesta de San Emigdio in the park of Nations, the patron saint of Torrevieja, who is also the patron saint of earthquakes, as legend says he appeared in Torrevieja after the devastating 1829 earthquake, which killed hundreds of people and destroyed thousands of homes.
