DAYLIGHT BANK ROBBERY

A man from A Coruña has started a two year prison sentence, after being found guilty of the crime of bank robbery this week.

The incident dates back to February when the man went to his local branch, intent on withdrawing what little money was in his account, and subsequently closing it.

The bank attendant told him there was no money in his account, as it has gone toward the account fees. Shocked by the news, the man started shouting and demanding explanations as to where his money had gone, before jumping over the counter, opening a cash drawer and taking a single 5 euro note by means of compensation for his apparent loss in what he considered to be a case of the bank robbing what little money he had.

The two year sentence was a reduction based on his sincere regret about the incident.
