Christmas came to Pilar de la Horadada at the weekend with the switch on of the lights and the opening of the Nativity Belen.
As hundreds of people gathered in la Plaza Campoamor council staff provided a snow and music show before distributing traditional Christmas sweets to the children.
Mayor José Fidel Ros, was joined by councilor for Festivals, Asunción Sánchez, and other city officials, who took the opportunity to congratulate Pilar residents on yet another year of significant achievements by the town.
The mayor said that once again the council was able to provide lots of different activities across the region as well as erecting Christmas light displays in Pilar de la Horadada, Pinar de la Perdiz, Pinar de Campoverde, Mil Palmeras and Torre de la Horadada.
But the main attraction for the younger members of the crowd was the snow, albeit artificial, as crowds enjoyed a selection of children’s workshops, tastings, etc.
