A competitive final saw Rachel and Andrew staging a comeback from 5-2 before losing 6-4 to the winners, Helen and Rafa. After the fun, sociable and competitive tennis the players enjoyed a drink and some also had something to eat on the hotel terrace, with beautiful views down to la Manga.
The tournament coincided with the annual meal for the weekly, Thursday and Monday coaching and social play tennis groups. So in the evening those players involved enjoyed a night out at a local restaurant. After an excellent meal the medal for the highest scoring Thursday club session player was awarded, congratulations to Christine Reed on her 2nd year in a row.
