Making a movie is one experience but when the writer says I’d like you to do your own stunts its another, So how about a Parachute jump, record it and raise money for charities at the same time?
Well to be honest it wasn’t entirely like that, but just about. The Truth is that one Irish Actress has done just that descending from around 12,000 Ft, 30 seconds of free fall then around 6 more minutes of decent before touching down on camera as cool as a cucumber and loving every moment of it, then shouting "I want to do it again, I want to do it again" So who is this later day Laura Croft? Its non other than Caoimhe O’Shea.
But that is not the whole Story by any means Not only did our intrepid Actress jump from such a height out of a Piper Cherokee with the special hatch on its Port side, Kevin O’Hanlon Jumped on the same sortie as Caoimhe,
Dear friends Singer Rain O’Connor and Greg Lomas Braved the jump and in doing so Raised a €1,000 for 2 Charities. The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Reach Out Torrevieja.
The whole Idea was indeed down to the ever brave Rain O’Connor, as a result the experience has been recorded both for YouTube, TV and some of the footage will be used in the Feature Film The Cucaracha Club now in the editing stage and soon to be released. Camera man Clive Grey was very impressed with the efforts of the team and the family and friends who turned out to support them, travelling for at least 2 hours up in to the hills of Murcia.
They where all awesome and we are very proud of them and the footage of a member of the acting crew doing a real jump to be used in the film was so cool.
