
A drunk driver, who was in an uninsured vehicle which had an expired ITV, smashed into a Local Police patrol car in Seville on Tuesday, resulting in the vehicle overturning.
The incident occurred just before 23:00 on Tuesday night at the exit of a roundabout on
on Tuesday night against a patrolman of the Local Police of Seville who was going to intervene in a traffic accident, as reported by the City in a press release.
Thus, it was shortly before 23.00 hours on Tuesday when this accident occurred at the exit of the Ronda del Tamarguillo roundabout at the junction of calle Clemente Hidalgo), in the direction of calle Ada.
As a result of the collision, the patrol car overturned, resulting in the officers suffering minor injuries. The driver of the colliding vehicle was breathalysed at the scene and was found to be four times over the maximum permitted limit for alcohol. In addition, the vehicle lacked mandatory insurance and the ITV had expired.
Fire fighters and medics attended to clear the scene and treat the injured parties until traffic could be restored.
