The Valencia Department of Universal Health has incorporated 20 mobile military vaccination teams, provided by the Ministry of Defence, in order to speed up and reinforce the immunisation process of the Valencian population in eight health departments, and specifically, the administration of booster doses.

The Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, has indicated that “these 20 military teams are going to be added to the 149 of the Ministry of Health, which are already immunising with booster doses at the permanent vaccination points. Therefore, we are going to to be able to considerably speed up the vaccination process “.

That is, it is about accelerating the vaccination of the booster dose in people over 60 years of age, people who have previously received the Janssen vaccine (both in their final stage) and the population group that has been immunized with the AstraZeneca’s double guideline.

Thus, once these priority groups have been completed, the vaccination campaign will continue with the population group of people over 50 years of age, and subsequently, in those over 40 years of age.

In this sense, the minister insisted on the importance of going to the vaccination point in case of receiving an SMS appointment or phone call. “It is very important to receive the booster dose and continue to protect the population. As we know, the vaccine is our main ally against the coronavirus, in addition to protective measures. If you are summoned, please go,” insisted the head of health.
