The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has notified a total of 745 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update last Thursday. The new cases by provinces are 120 in Castellón (197,103 in total), 173 in Alicante (537,396 in total) and 452 in Valencia (857,198 in total).
Of these, 450 are people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 72 from Castellón, 107 from Alicante and 271 from Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 254 people admitted for COVID, 13 of them in the ICU. Last week, there were 168 people in hospital with Covid, and 7 in the ICU. This is the highest hospitalisation figure since 13 January when 285 people were in hospital. Currently, there are 31 in the province of Castellón, 3 in the ICU; 53 in the province of Alicante, 3 of them in the ICU, and 170 in the province of Valencia, 7 in the ICU.
9 deaths from coronavirus have been reported since the last update, all with a death date in the last 7 days. They are 5 women, between 89 and 95 years old, and 4 men between 74 and 89 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 10,476: 1,268 in the province of Castellón, 3,969 in Alicante and 5,239 in Valencia.
