San Miguel de Salinas has launched its first-ever Magic and Comedy series, offering a vibrant new addition to the town’s summer cultural calendar. The festival began on Saturday evening in Plaza de la Libertad, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of residents and visitors to enjoy the opening performance under the warm July skies.
The series is scheduled to run throughout the month, with performances taking place every Wednesday at 21:30. Each evening will feature a rotating lineup of professional magicians and comedians, promising a varied programme that blends sleight of hand, visual illusions, stand-up comedy and family-friendly entertainment.
Organised by the local council, the festival is part of a wider initiative to expand free, accessible cultural activities in smaller towns within the Vega Baja region. By hosting events in public squares, organisers hope to foster community spirit and encourage participation from all ages. Seating is open-air and free of charge, with no advance booking required.
