A horse fell into a cesspool in the town of Pinoso, which is on the road from Úbeda to Culebrón. Members of the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium recovered the horse after an operation that lasted more than five hours.
The intervention report says that the warning came in at 02:12, the rescue was done at 05:14, and the operation was over at 07:37.
The animal went underwater after it fell into a hole. Once they got there, the workers used their harnesses to alert the rescue team and sent a Multilift truck from the San Vicente fire station to help with the extraction.
Sludge pumps were utilised to empty the well during the operation, and a JCB was employed to make the aperture bigger. This move finally made it possible to save the horse.

After the rescue, vets looked at the animal at the spot and confirmed that it was healthy. The report says that no one was hurt, although the horse did have scratches that were consistent with the accident.
Resources used in the rescue
There was a command unit, a heavy urban fire engine, and a personnel transport van. The operation included one sergeant, one corporal, and five firemen from the Elda and San Vicente fire stations. The rescue team (GER) also sent two rescuers and a crane truck to help.
