A fire in a residential block forced a dozen residents to leave their homes in Altea yesterday, Wednesday March 11th. The fire started on the fourth storey of the structure, which forced everyone within to leave. One of the people who had to leave was a resident who had trouble moving about.
Sources from the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium said that no one has been hurt. These same sources say that the flames were so strong that they were coming out of the house’s terrace and could be seen from the outside.
The house in question is at 11 Avenida Rei Jaume I. The call came in at 5:15 p.m. There are nine firemen from the Benidorm fire station on the reaction team, along with a sergeant, a corporal, a heavy urban fire engine, a light urban fire engine, and a ladder truck.
