A patrol in Alicante was able to revive a 51-year-old man who had suffered a heart attack while playing padel, despite the fact that many citizens believe the Local Police are solely responsible for issuing penalties. This was demonstrated on Tuesday, March 30th, according to police sources.
The incident transpired on Tuesday afternoon at a padel club located in the Divina Pastora neighbourhood of Alicante. A patrol from the Alicante Local Police was the first to appear after emergency services were informed that a man had collapsed.
Upon entering the sports facility, the officers encountered a nurse who was attempting to revive the victim. One of the local police officers initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the unconscious male.
The officer was able to revive the individual from cardiac arrest on two separate occasions; however, he continued to experience episodes of unconsciousness. Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and advised the officer to continue performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Subsequently, the health services assumed responsibility for the patient and promptly evacuated him to a hospital after concluding his resuscitation.
The Local Police patrol concluded their service with the gratification of having assisted in the preservation of an individual’s life.
