The Elche Local Police officers have been awarded a contract by the Local Governing Board for the provision of 200 bulletproof, stab-proof, and puncture-resistant garments.
Inma Mora, the spokesperson for the Local Governing Board, clarified that the company Technicaluniforms SL has been awarded a contract for 121,000 euros over a four-year period. The purpose of this contract is to equip the Local Police with the requisite equipment to perform their duties.
The bidding process for the renovation of the planters in the Nieves Berenguer Municipal Park, which is situated on Obispo Barrachina Street, was also authorised at the meeting on Thursday. This is in response to the previous contract’s termination as a result of the work’s incessant delays and deficiencies. In this regard, the Local Governing Board approved the final settlement of the project, which totals €37,285, and the forfeiture of the final guarantee deposited, which amounts to €7,055.94, at its meeting on April 9th.
The new contract has a basic tender budget of 160,425 euros and an execution period of 3 months. Companies that are interested in applying have 20 calendar days to submit their applications.
Furthermore, the tendering process for a new supply contract to acquire artificial gravel and aggregates for the repair of public roads in 2026 has been approved. The tendering process has a base budget of 150,000 euros and a two-year execution period.
The Elx Emplea 2026 grant programme’s terms and conditions have also been approved. The objective is to facilitate the recruitment of unemployed individuals, as well as to advance the integration of groups that face greater challenges in accessing the labour market within the municipality of Elche, and to promote stable, high-quality employment.
The application period will commence on the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) and conclude on August 31, with the grant ranging from €2,000 to €3,000. Between January 1, 2026, and the application deadline, contracts must be formalised.
The terms and conditions for the call for subsidies aimed at trade and hospitality associations in the municipality of Elche have been approved for a total of 40,000 euros. The maximum amount that can be awarded to each association is 8,000 euros. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 working days from the day after the BOP is published.
These bursaries, which are awarded on a competitive basis, are intended to assist trade and hospitality associations in the implementation of commercial revitalisation, communication, and digitisation initiatives in 2026.
