Elche City Council, via the Department of Commerce and Openings, has granted exceptional authorisation for the installation of television screens on the outdoor terraces of hospitality establishments for the upcoming football match between the Spanish national team and Austria in the World Cup round of 32.
The match is scheduled to take place next Thursday, 2th July, at 21:00. This special measure aims to make it easier for local residents and visitors to follow the Spanish national team’s progress in the tournament directly from the municipality’s hospitality areas, thereby boosting local trade.
Following this new authorisation, bars and cafes with terrace permits will be allowed to set up their televisions outside for the duration of the match. With this decision, the local council is showing its support for the Spanish team in the 2026 World Cup competition.
The Torrevieja City Council, through the Departments of Sports and Youth, will open the doors of the Municipal Theatre so that residents and visitors can enjoy a live broadcast of the World Cup round of 32 match between the Spanish National Team and Austria with doors opening at 20:00.
