The Local Police in Javea are launching a targeted campaign to tackle the unbearable noise generated by motorbikes and mopeds. Over the coming weeks, officers will be conducting intensive inspections to address the issue of altered exhausts and unauthorised vehicle modifications that disrupt the community.
The main objective of this initiative is to safeguard the peace, rest and local coexistence of both residents and visitors, ensuring a quieter environment across the municipality. During these checks, officers will focus on identifying vehicles with straight-through exhausts, those operating without a silencer or with the DB-killer removed, and any modifications that have not been legally approved or certified. They will also verify that noise levels do not exceed the limits permitted by current regulations.
Faced with potential sanctions, authorities have urged riders to check their mopeds, ensure they remain legally certified and ride responsibly, concluding with the reminder that Javea sounds better without noise.
