The Institución Ferial Alicantina (IFA-Fira Alacant), located in Elche, is set to add a major new gathering to its calendar this year with the arrival of ICONS. Promoted as the largest collecting event in Europe, the specialised fair will take place on 15th and 16th August.
Organisers describe ICONS as an event dedicated to the culture of collecting, a market that has experienced strong growth in recent years driven by the rise of trading card games, manga, comic books, collectible figures, and scale model vehicles.
The convention will take place across 27,000 square metres of exhibition space. Dedicated sections will showcase TCG and sports trading cards, manga, comics, 1:64 scale cars, action figures, dolls, and limited-edition items, alongside spaces reserved for specialised companies and projects within the sector.
Beyond product displays and sales, the event programme will feature live competitions, interactive public activities, themed exhibition zones, family areas, food trucks, and a dedicated children’s area. The aim is to appeal to experienced collectors as well as enthusiasts taking their first steps into the hobby.
A significant portion of the fair will also focus on the professional industry. Organisers have planned specific zones for B2B networking, project showcases, product launches, and collaborations between creators and businesses, alongside brand promotion actions.
By choosing the IFA venue in Elche, organisers aim to leverage the site’s capacity for large-scale events and strengthen its standing as a benchmark fairground in the Mediterranean region. ICONS aims to establish itself as a key meeting point for fans, retailers, creators, and specialised companies, placing Alicante and Elche on the European collecting map.
