Renfe has scheduled 1,130 replacement bus services between 17th and 25th August because of Adif engineering works on the rail infrastructure between Torrellano and Crevillent. The works will affect C1 Cercanías commuter line operations, as well as Media Distancia and Larga Distancia routes connecting Cartagena, Murcia, and València.
According to a statement from the rail operator, the works form part of ongoing maintenance and upgrades designed to enhance the operational capacity, functionality, and reliability of the conventional network. The engineering project will require a complete halt to train traffic from 06:00 on Monday 17th August until 23:30 on Tuesday 25th August.
For users of the C1 Cercanías line, 56,000 bus seats will be provided across the period for routes connecting Alicante Terminal with Crevillent and Callosa de Segura.
Regarding the València to Murcia and Cartagena Media Distancia service, Renfe has arranged replacement buses by road between Alicante Terminal and Crevillent, as well as between Elche and Alicante Terminal, offering 4,000 seats.
Meanwhile, the Larga Distancia Intercity service linking València and Cartagena will be operated by bus, with around 2,000 seats allocated, for the section between València and Murcia.
