Local police in Guardamar track mobile signal to recover handbag

Local police in Guardamar del Segura have successfully located and retrieved a lost handbag after tracking the signal of a mobile phone that was inside it.

According to officers, the device’s geolocation feature allowed them to monitor its location continuously and narrow down the area where the missing items were situated.

The operation involved the Incident Patrol and the Tango Patrol, the latter comprising officers operating on motorcycles. Coordination between these two units ultimately enabled officers to discover the mobile phone and handbag inside a campsite.

The local force highlighted that the speed, teamwork, and persistence of the officers involved proved crucial to recovering the belongings and returning them to their owner.
