The Guardia Civil has arrested 14 people after dismantling a suspected criminal organisation allegedly involved in selling drugs from a residential building in Torrevieja. Those detained include eight men and six women aged between 25 and 77 years old.
The investigation began following complaints and alerts from local residents regarding a continuous flow of people at all hours of the day. Neighbours also raised concerns about strong odours, frequent noise, and various incidents linked to drug users, which had created a growing sense of insecurity in the area.
Officers established the existence of an organised group that operated continuously to distribute drugs, with distinct roles assigned to its members. Investigators linked four properties to the illegal operation. Two of the addresses functioned as storage and distribution points, while the other two were used directly for drug sales.
During simultaneous searches carried out at the four properties, officers seized cocaine, cocaine base, and marijuana, alongside materials used to prepare and process the substances prior to distribution. Law enforcement also confiscated two compressed air handguns, cash, two cars, and a personal mobility vehicle.
All 14 individuals were brought before the duty court in Torrevieja and have been released on bail under precautionary measures.
