Crevillent is set to step back into the Middle Ages with a Medieval Market running from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September in the area surrounding Plaza de la Constitution. Organised by La Fragua de Vulcano, the initiative forms part of the patron saint and Moors and Christians festivities in Crevillent.
The market brings together artisan, food, and commercial stalls alongside entertainment, live music, and family-friendly activities. Traders will offer handmade goods such as carved items, bracelets, and costume jewellery. Food stalls and taverns will feature roasted meats, cheeses, cured meats, pickles, sugared nuts, bakery goods, pastries, sweets, and books.
Although the market opens at 18:00 on Friday 18th September, the official inauguration takes place at 18:30. The opening evening includes mediaeval characters, jester performances, musical entertainment, and a show titled “Las llamas de Oriente”.
Activities on Saturday 19 September start at 11:00 with street music and roving entertainment. The afternoon schedule includes a welcome for the Marquis, mediaeval rhythms, minstrels, and a trapeze and fire performance at 21:30.
On Sunday 20 September, stalls reopen at 11:00 with morning music, characters, and a trapeze and fire show. The afternoon continues with minstrels and a circus show, closing with a farewell parade at 21:30.
Throughout all three days, ongoing attractions include thematic exhibitions, storytelling, children’s games, a mediaeval ride, circus acts, comedy, and street parades. Operating hours run from 18:00 to 22:30 on Friday, 11:00 to 22:30 on Saturday, and 11:00 to 22:00 on Sunday.
