Asoka Orihuela animal shelter will take part on 24th and 25th October in the second national adoption fair known as ‘Adopta un Pana’, an event that will bring together 32 animal shelters from across Spain and more than 100 dogs looking for a second chance in Albacete.
Asoka Orihuela will be present with three dogs available for adoption, representing three different stories that reflect many of the animals still waiting for an opportunity. The main objective is to find responsible families capable of offering them a stable and permanent home.
The purpose of the ‘Adopta un Pana’ event is not to secure adoptions at any cost, but rather to ensure that the stories beginning during the fair last forever. Adopting involves committing for many years to the care, expenses, needs and responsibilities that come with living with an animal.
Adoption will not be the only way to support the initiative. People unable to welcome a dog into their family will be able to contribute through a Row 0 option priced at 4€, aimed at helping shelters cover expenses linked to rescue, feeding, veterinary care and the recovery of the animals.
During that weekend, Albacete will bring together animal shelters and animal lovers with a shared goal: to give visibility to dogs waiting for a family and to promote responsible and permanent adoptions. The event is promoted by Juan Manuel Jimeno, founder of Zooasis, and will feature activities for the whole family.
