Asoka Orihuela animal shelter has announced a new edition of its charity dog walk, scheduled for Sunday, 1st November, in Orihuela. The initiative is designed to bring citizens closer to the reality faced by abandoned animals, raise awareness of the association’s daily work, and actively encourage adoption.
The event will take place at the San Bartolomé Animal Protection Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to share a walk with one of the dogs currently housed at the refuge, giving the animals a break from their routine and helping them socialise with people in a different environment. Organisers note that these gatherings also allow potential adopters to meet the animals directly and familiarise themselves with how the shelter operates.
In addition to the walk, Asoka Orihuela is currently looking for local businesses to collaborate on its upcoming solidarity calendar for 2027. Interested companies can send their logos via email, make a corresponding donation through the account available on the association’s official website, and submit their payment receipt.
Asoka Orihuela manages the municipal animal protection centre, carrying out vital work through its team and volunteers to safeguard the welfare of sheltered animals and find them permanent homes.
