Man arrested in Denia accused of threatening to kill woman to stop her testifying at trial

National Police officers have arrested a 54-year-old man in Denia, Alicante, accused of perverting the course of justice after he allegedly threatened a woman with death to prevent her from attending a trial involving them both and to stop her from giving evidence against him.

Following these events, officers launched an investigation to fully identify the suspected perpetrator of the threats. After carrying out several checks, he was identified, located and arrested on suspicion of an offence against the administration of justice. The police reports and proceedings have been forwarded to the duty court in Denia.
