Firstly, news of 2 pre season friendlies at Vicente Garcia Stadium. On Sat 18 Jul, newly relegated from La Liga, Andalucia based Cordoba will provide a stern test for Pedreno’s new look Torry side.
But before the match (prov 8.30pm ko), fans are invited to come and help paint the stadium from 10am, where food and drink will be provided. Then on Fri 24 Jul, Hull City will visit as part of their week long trip to the Costa Blanca. Training commences on 13 Jul, when several youngsters will be flying over from UK for trials.
Five players have put pen to paper, ensuring another season at the club. Ever present, and last years player of the season, goalkeeper Oscar is one player we did not want to lose, and we haven’t. Senor Presidente’s son, full back Vicente, will be embarking on his 6th season for us.
Another long serving member is club captain Jorge, who is now approaching his 7th season. Midfielder Burguillos is another loyal player, about to enter his 6th season.
Finally, the old man of the team, 37 year old Carrasco will turn out for us yet again (if his legs allow him – only joking Carrasco!). Another fans favourite, last seasons golden boot winner, is currently having talks concerning extending his stay. Go on Rafa, you know you want to.
Finally, a new scheme entitled the 200 club, offers companies 2 season tickets, and entry into a draw for name and logo shirt, all for 200 euros.
