The courts in Elche have suspended the preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday the 6th of February, where the complaint filed by the PP and CLR regarding the blocking of a censure motion in the Orihuela town hall was to be heard.
The courts have not given their reason for the suspension after summoning those involved to testify in relation to the case whereas the Council of Elders in Orihuela blocked a motion that would have overthrown the current government and brought the PP back into power, with their new collaborators, the CLR.
The reason for the blocking of the motion was given that the officially recognised association of CLR/CLARO no longer had any members as they had all be ejected for their roles within the combined group.
The PP and CLR argue that their fundamental rights had been infringed and that the council of Elders, chaired by Bob Houliston of CLARO and Carolina Gracia from the PSOE, had violated the constitution.
