The parks and gardens department of Torrevieja town hall has completed work on a roundabout in the city, in order to improve the image of one of the main routes into the centre.
The roundabout, located on the streets of Calle Gotzone Mora and Calle César Mateo Cid, has been improved with the installation of coloured elements, rock features and a wall which looks similar in style to the Gaudi inspired architecture in other places of the city, with wavy lines to instil a feeling of bright, happy emotions.
Meanwhile, in other roundabout news, the promoter JOST, who were ordered to demolish an illegally built roundabout on the Avenida de las Cortes Valencianas, in the vicinity of the Las Lagunas College, has failed to comply with the demolition notice issued by the town hall on the 14th of March.
As the time to respond by action has now expired, the town hall will start to fine the company and may subsequently demolish the roundabout themselves, forwarding the final bill to the company who built the roundabout and has been the subject of a legal battle since 2012.
