German supermarket chain Lidl has announced an extensive investment program for their Spanish network, with the injection of 180 million euro investment this year.
As a result, they plan to open an additional 20 supermarkets, whilst modernizing 50 of their existing outlets.
The good news is that this has resulted in a nationwide recruitment campaign, with the creation of 400 new jobs across the country, which will bring their total workforce to around 10,000 in their 525 stores and 8 logistic centres.
Describing the key to their success as simplicity, the company´s aim is to offer customers everyday items with the best value.
There are no formal qualifications required to apply for the posts, and experience is also not necessary, as the company offers an extensive training program. Working in sales alone results in a 12 month period of training.
