A man, believed to have been in his 70´s, is reported to have died this week on the Pilar de la Horadada beach of Playa de Las Villas.
The emergency services were alerted at around 11:00 on Tuesday morning, after the body was reported to have been spotted by other swimmers.
The Guardia Civil attended and carried out CPR, but the man had already died and remained on the beach until the coroner authorised the removal of the body.
An autopsy will attempt to determine the cause of this latest tragedy on the beach.
