With the municipal elections getting closer by the day, now just 10 months away, the political situation in Orihuela is still one of bitter contrast. From numerous politicians facing criminal charges, others being ousted and even the mayor facing attempts to overthrow him, the current bipartite team are still working together for what they feel is the best for the municipality.
This week, Mark Nolan will once again be joined by three of the most influential characters from the field of local politics, discussing the recent changes, cases and future as we head rapidly towards that date when we get to choose the next representatives.
On Tuesday, Bob Houliston from the Orihuela Costa orientated CLARO group will be on air, then on Wednesday it is the turn of Pedro Mancebo from the central liberal CLR group will give his take on what´s been happening. On Thursday, it will be Martina Scheurer from the Los Verdes green party, the current councillor for the coast and representative of the Government, both answering questions as to the current situation, and updating us on what is going on during her regular weekly session.
