Preferente side Pinoso provided the opposition last Saturday, as Torry embarked on their 4th pre season warm up match.
Torry took the lead after 11 mins, when Rafa Gomez coolly converted a Mati cross from the right wing. Adrian was fouled, in what looked just inside the box, but the ref awarded it outside, then from the resultant free kick, Rafa G has his effort well saved.
The game turned a bit scrappy, resulting in bookings for 2 Pinoso players, plus Sergi for retaliation. Trialist Steve Ekedi, side footed home a Rafa G left wing cross on 42 mins. An experimental side, consisting mainly of youthful inexperience, never looked like conceding a goal in the 2nd half.
With Vicente and Carrasco running the show, Pinoso chose to commit a series of nasty fouls, which earned them a further 2 cautions. Vicente, Carrasco and Joaquin, all came close to scoring for Torry, whilst up the other end, Oscar came to his sides rescue, when he tipped a dipping goal bound effort over the bar.
Torry start div 3 season 14/15 on Sun 24 Aug, with a home fixture against SAGUNTINO, and finish also at home, to ALZIRA on 17 May. The first away match is at UTIEL on 31 Aug. Other games of note are against local rivals ORIHUELA, at home on 28 Sep, and away on 15 Feb.
On Tues 12 Aug, ko 7.30 pm, div 2b side La Hoya Lorca visit Vicente Garcia Stadium, for another pre season friendly. Admission is only 5 euros.
