N332 CLAIMS TWO MORE LIVES

Two people were killed and another two injured in a crash on the N332 at Santa Pola in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The two vehicles they were travelling in collided at kilometre 84 of the N-332 at 05:30 in the morning, according to the emergency coordination centre. The area cuts through the Santa Pola salt lakes between the salt factory and the Torre de Tamarit, adjacent to a lay-by situated on a bend.

The victims were transported to the General Hospital of Elche.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
