Lucky regulars at The Pitch & Pint Bar at Tiro de Pichón in Orihuela Costa enjoy a super social scene thanks to the great hospitality of owner Eira Pimlott and they raise hundreds of Euros for charities whilst simply having fun. As well ‘Race Nights’, their latest event involved no less than 45 customers undergoing the popular ice bucket challenge and collecting 500€ in doing so.
Two charities have benefitted from their soakings The AFA Torrevieja (The Association of Friends and Relatives of Alzheimer’s Sufferers in Torrevieja) and The San Miguel Food Bank (Asociación de Vecinos San Miguel Arcángel).
Eira told us that her customers have decided to nominate The Food Bank as their first charity in the run up to Christmas and plan to buy presents for the needy children. The Pitch & Pint Bar now has a food drop off point and is working with Food Bank managers to ensure that customers donate what is really needed. This is a truly great community effort.
