LIONS BOWL THEM OVER

Being a member of a Lions Club means many things to many people, there are over 1.3 million members throughout the world.

Being a member of the Torrevieja Costa Lions Club means committing a few hours each month to work in the interest of those in our community who are less fortunate than ourselves. It also brings a great sense of satisfaction to be part of an organisation that does actually "make a difference" to peoples’ lives.

Your local Lions Club will celebrate their 10th Charter Anniversary early next year bringing the opportunity to celebrate the huge difference that the Club has made to many people both individually and to groups and organisations. There are many organisations in the area who have benefitted from a "kick start" from the Lions when they were first starting out and in due course representatives of these organisations will all be invited to celebrate with the Lions at the 10th Charter Night Dinner and Dance.

Whilst being a Lion has its serious side there is also a very enjoyable social side to being a Lion and this week the Lions gathered at Quesada Bowling for an evening of bowling which turned out quite competitive but essentially good fun for all concerned. Strangely Andy Colquhoun, the overall winner is not a Lion member but a friend of the Lion President who immediately claimed him as ‘His Champion" giving him a gladitorial thumbs up, in the style of Caesar.
